Home of the Lizardman Team

In the dawn of time the old ones and their slann servants arrived in ther silver starships, crossing the vast ocean of space, to populate the world with their myriads of specimen. The first of the species that were released unto the world were the lizardmen - and unlike the old ones other children, the lizardmen were taught of the way of the old ones, and of their grand plan - and they revered the old ones as gods.

The lizardmen served alongside the slann as keepers of the world, and defenders of "the worlds cradle" - Lustrias sacred ground. The mighty Kroxigor moved the enormous rocks from which the pyramidic temples were built, the saurus defended the realm, and the skinks helped the slann perform the multitude of tasks that constituted the old ones plan. After the exodus of the old ones, when many of the totem affiliated slann forget the plan and scattered all over Lustria, the lizardmen persevered, and gathered around the remaining slann lords.

The Lizardmen have always been loyal to the old ones, and much time was spent in worship of them. One of the most popular ceremonies of tribute, was the ritual game of xa'slee, which the old ones themselves taught the lizardmen and the slann. Xa'slee, a celebration of the old ones, was played in the great pyramid temples, andmost prominent of these was the one called xaNFLotl. After the exodus this very temple was discovered by the younger races, the holy scriptures were translated, and xa'slee spread all over the globe under the name of blood bowl.

Now lizardman teams challenge the invaders to games of xa'slee, and a few even travel to the lands of men, honouring the old ones through xa'slee, while secretly searching for plaques stolen from the pyramid temples.

Lizardman Teams
Millenia after the exodus of the old ones, the loyal lizardmen still try to implement their great plan, and one of their means of worship is blood bowl. Deep in the lustrian jungles, beyond the reach of 'civilisation', blood bowl is still played the way it was meant to.

The BBRC changed the old lizardman team and their playing style, and made them a lot like the other "stunties and strongmen" teams. These changes have met with a lot of critique - and this team is our shot at walking the line between the old and the new team.
