Home of the Dwarf Team

The Dwarfs are one of the most ancient races of the warhammer world, and since the slanns second seeding, the dwarf clans have inhabited mighty strongholds deep within the Worlds Edge Mountains. But time has been harsh on the proud dwarven kin, and now the great achievements of old are little more than sagas sung in the halls of the few surviving strongholds - but not when it comes to Blood Bowl, where dwarven teams are rightly feared, and mighty feats bring new material to the runecutters chisel.

A Dwarf can bear a grudge for years whilst a Dwarf clan can do so for generations or practically forever. Any injustice or slight, no matter how petty, will be remembered and any wrong done to the family, weather real or imagined, will one day be avenged. In everyday life such things may go unsaid, but the truth is that there is no Dwarf Team which does not bear at least some minor grievance against its rivals, whose Coach’s ancestors were not wronged in some way by another Coach’s forebears. Dwarfs have remarkable memories for such things and their powers of recall are never faded by time or beer, indeed beer seems to improve their memory in this respect!

Though some dwarf teams play for glory, others to avenge an ancient insult, and still some play simply to work off their aggressions, they all share the same basic motive: their lust for gold! Blood Bowl is where the big bucks are - and whereever there is gold to be made, there will always be dwarfs trying to lay their hands on it.

Dwarfs seem to be ideal Blood Bowl players, being short, tough, well-armoured, and having this stubborn knack of refusing to die! Most successful dwarf teams work to the principle that if they can take out all the other teams potential scorers, and wear down the rest, then there won't be anybody left to stop them from scoring the winning touchdowns!
